Large Calibrated One-Turn-Stop Knob - The full drag range lives inside a single rotation of an oversized indexed knob with a true one-turn stop, so you go from free spool to maximum in one motion instead of counting turns while a fish burns backing. Trident measured the travel on a 9600 as genuinely linear: about 4.6 pounds at a half turn against a 14.9 pound maximum, and 0.6 pounds with the knob fully backed off, which means the spool never actually free spools and overruns are not a concern. One honest caveat that applies to every size: the knob turns so easily that there is little tactile feedback, so unlike a stiffer drag you cannot feel where you are in the range. Read the index marks rather than your fingertips
